SBYSO's mission statement is "educating, inspiring, and enriching young musicians and our community through music since 1968." In addition to our two orchestras--Concert Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra--we offer a robust sectional program, master classes with world-renowned musicians, need-based tuition scholarships, annual scholarships for summer music study and college study, trips to hear the Chicago Symphony through the Georgina Joshi Performance Travel Fund, our summer camp program, and more.
